Have a drink and get creative with printmaking!

Soft drinks will be provided. You can bring a small amount of your own alcohol. This event is a great opportunity to visit EP, socialise and get inspired!

27 August - Monoprinting, exploring expressive and instant techniques.

24 September - Drypoint Etching into plastic, etch a sketch into a print!

29 October - Aluminium tape Collagraphs, printing using a range of textures to create a final image of repeated pattern.

26 November - Mono Screen Printing, a fun and fast technique, using lots of colours to make a print by painting directly onto a screen.

3 December - Make your own Christmas wrapping paper! Etching into polystyrene to make stamps for relief printing.


Morven Ferguson


Morven Ferguson graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee ‘DJCAD’ with a BA in Fine Art in 2021. She continued her studies at DJCAD, achieving a Masters in Fine Art in 2022. Morven has been an active member of Edinburgh Printmakers since 2023. Her inspiration is predominantly drawn from the Scottish landscape.

Morven began teaching with Edinburgh Printmakers as a freelance artist in 2023. She currently leads the ‘Family Print Club’ workshop programme for both parents and children. As well as delivering monthly ‘Drink & Print’ short evening workshops. Morven teaches a range of hands-on printmaking processes which are accessible for beginners. She also teaches a variety of courses and workshops for adults and children at Birchwood Art Studio on Ashley Terrace. Morven is passionate about sharing her knowledge of different printmaking processes and finds teaching to be very rewarding alongside her own printmaking practice.
